Salutations.
My name is Anthony and I am new to this forum (as well as any forum relating to Cerebral Palsy - this is my first). I am 23, formerly a university attendee, now focusing all my efforts into writing a book about my life and experience as an invalid among the multiplicity. I was born both very premature and ravaged with illness; that I survived is nothing short of a miracle, but the illness resulted in a bleed in my brain which caused my CP. I walk with the use of crutches for mobility.
I have only ever encountered one other person with CP before; a female, who I noticed having the disability by way of her clawed left hand and unusual gait. She was otherwise socially normal, and for this reason could not be witnessed being friendly with the socially abnormal (like me). Such is life. As I become older, I'm beginning to realize things about the multiplicity (that is - the society of able-bodies) I had not known before. It is both a challenge and a great adventure. There is little happiness or pleasure to be had in the adventure, but there is still work to be done. Thus, I do.
I look forward to talking to many of you.
Anthony
