This Forum was a geat idea. ...and yes it is hard work dealing with CP. CP is not a disease though, it is a condition
I'm glad that you went to that other website. It seems like alot of people that go to that site are from Australia, or New Zealand. It doesn't matter.
My son,who just turned 3, is doing much better. He is finally using his reverse walker. It took about a year before he really got interested. He has taken some independent steps too. His balance is still pretty bad, but it is getting better. He has low tone in his abs and trunk(mixed too), but very, very high tone in his legs(lots of spasticity). He will get botox again in Nov. He had it in August, and he got 200 units. It was so hard the first two weeks, because he couldn't rely so much on his hamstrings for walking but more on his hips and butt. He is standing straigter, but crutches when he does his independent walking. I know it will take some time.
He started special ed. preschool, and he seems to like it. Alot has happened these past few months. Too much to report.
Take care, and I'm glad to be back.
