I think

Postby SpookyKid » Sun Jul 29, 2007 11:21 pm

I think this forum was a great Idea, Because I have cerebral palsy and I am 17 and only people with this Desease know how hard it is To grow up with CP mentally and Physically.

So please We should all become more active A place to kick back and chat about our Daily lives Goals in the long term and short term.

I agree! I have done what I can to try to get people more active on this forum but it seems to be a lost cause. I am getting a lot of spam on this site and very few new contributors.

Thanks for your contribution and welcome to the forum.

I'm glad that you went to that other website. It seems like alot of people that go to that site are from Australia, or New Zealand. It doesn't matter.

My son,who just turned 3, is doing much better. He is finally using his reverse walker. It took about a year before he really got interested. He has taken some independent steps too. His balance is still pretty bad, but it is getting better. He has low tone in his abs and trunk(mixed too), but very, very high tone in his legs(lots of spasticity). He will get botox again in Nov. He had it in August, and he got 200 units. It was so hard the first two weeks, because he couldn't rely so much on his hamstrings for walking but more on his hips and butt. He is standing straigter, but crutches when he does his independent walking. I know it will take some time.

He started special ed. preschool, and he seems to like it. Alot has happened these past few months. Too much to report.

Take care, and I'm glad to be back.
