It looks like Adidas Superstar Mens/Womens has found yet another way to re-imagine the Superstar with this all-new cut-out construction for women. The iconic original low-top silhouette and shelltoe remain, but from there things take a drastic turn from the ordinary for the Superstar, as it features a deconstructed leather upper with two layers of die-cut paneling in geometric shapes. This debut colorway goes with a crisp shade of white up top, with an off-white toe and sole for an antiqued look.



As one of Shanghai’s premier destination for top-shelf footwear, ACU has been tapped by adidas Originals to help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the iconic Adidas Superstar Shoes. For this friends-and-family affair, the team at ACU – the first shoe boutique ever opened in the city – applied traditional graphic themes of the crane, tiger, and koi, blending the three creatures onto an abstract pattern across the upper in alternate color-blocking. Further accentuating the deliberate mix-and-match theme is a reflective base, while a translucent outsole reveals the shop’s signature logo on the footbed. Each of the 100 pairs come packaged in a custom shoe-box with an elegant red wrap and gilded illustrations of the three animals.
